Happy Earth Day

Earth Day was April 22, but we celebrated it today by pruning bushes and trees at the Forest Home Farms Historic Park. I also learned a lot about the Toyota Prius from a Toyota employee (not a salesman). I'm so intrigued, and feeling so guilty about my fossil fuel guzzling car.

Welcome Elijah Cole!

Elijah Cole arrived at 5:59 today, healthy, and much loved. He was welcomed by older twin siblings Jonah and Claire; and mom and dad, Jen and Charles.

More pictures of mom and her boys, and claire and her little bro.

I'm Honored

What a wonderful birthday! Thank you all so much for your wishes, cards, presents, and acknowledgements. I feel so proud to count each of you among my friends!

Every hour today I got a new message from someone--it was truly amazing.

There are too many of you to name individually, but I appreciate each and every one of you! Thanks for all that you do and all that you are. I'm honored to have each of you in my life.

Never Too Late

It's only too late if we say it's too late. I've decided it's not too late to pursue a passion I've had for a very long time: learning how to play guitar.

I'm loving it!

The fingertips of my left hand sting with every letter I type on the left side of the keyboard, but it's awesome because I'm learning how to play my guitar.

After about a week, I now know 8 chords, and have a daily practice routine that sounds loads cooler than scales. Soph even thinks it's pretty cool that I'm learning to play guitar.

What an awesome way to end and begin each day! I can't think of anything more fun and relaxing. I encourage all of you to find something that really gets you excited--then do it! It makes a remarkable difference in all aspects of your life.
