Honu Nests Devistated by Hurricanes

My heart goes out to the families picking up the pieces after a series of devistating hurricanes in Florida. I have friends who live there, and thankfully they're doing okay.

In scanning hurricane-related headlines, I noticed this very sad story about a devistating loss of honu nests between Hurricanes Jeanne and Frances. With all the amazing technology we have, it's sad to see both humans and honu have to suffer such losses.

I had been so heartened to hear that all the conservation efforts seemed to be making a difference for Olive Ridely sea turtles in Mexico.

*sigh*

Today's the Day...

I'm going to become an aunt today!

A new life enterining this world really makes you think about how you want to live your life. Babies come into this world pure and full of love. It's the years of choices—how we choose to see certain events that shape us. I work every day to get closer to that pure love. Days like today make that task much easier. Today I choose to see the world through a baby's unjudging eyes.
