Senior Marketing Communications Specialist
Write, edit, and produce web content for PeopleSoft's customer extranet.
Write and edit customer letters from casual communications and customer
loyalty, to executive communications. Collaborate with team to determine
web strategy and work with IT to execute on the technical aspects. Work
with product and service marketers to develop comprehensive and effective
customer communication and change-management campaigns, and execute on all
deliverables for these plans. This job requires the ability to project manage
multiple complex projects on a broad variety of subjects.
June 1999-June 2000: BI
Creative Copywriter, Sales Administrator
In addition to my duties as a sales administrator, I wrote copy for various
marketing campaigns our company ran for its clients. I helped brainstorm
for the initial direction, including suggestions about graphical content.
September 1998-May 1999: Hawaiian Humane Society
Publication Coordinator
Responsibilities included: writing the Society's quarterly newsletter (21,000
circulation), weekly internal newsletter, press releases, brochures, flyers,
and a bi-weekly column for the local morning daily newspaper. In addition
to my writing responsibilities, I designed flyers, ads, brochures, and newsletters.
I also coordinated publication of all business forms and publications for
the organization.
August 1997-January 1998: University Relations, University of Hawai'i-Manoa
Experts Directory Project Coordinator
Developed a prototype directory of University of Hawaii at Manoa experts
for journalists. Eventually the directory will be expanded to include all
ten campuses of the University of Hawaii system. The directory will be published
on the internet to encourage journalists nationwide to contact experts at
the University of Hawaii campuses as experts for their stories.
